WEARING OF FACE MASKS AT COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS GALAS
HM Government guidance stipulates that the wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory but recommends that in crowded places where there are likely to be people that do not usually meet together, wearing of masks is still necessary.

Swim England support that recommendation and, more importantly, it is also supported by both Perdiswell and Wolverhampton pool providers. However both pool providers have stated they require mask to be worn in all Public places, foyers and corridors.
In order to protect our swimmers, officials an spectators we are recommending masks be worn throughout the two remaining weekends of County Championships by spectators, swimmers, officials and volunteers as was the case at the distance events at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago. By now I am sure you are all aware that the omicron virus in both Herefordshire and Worcestershire is much more prevalent than other variants have been in the past.
I ask that everyone complies with this request to safeguard those present and that all Worcestershire Clubs inform their swimmers, officials, volunteers and parents accordingly.
